David, a Sales and Training Executive for an Industrial Manufacturer in Texas

by

I was born one of 9 children, with good parents, as mom would say, there was not a dud in the bunch. (maybe one)

I have an MBA, married 45 years before I lost her. I have had my health issues, but at my age, health issues are not uncommon. I am devout Roman Catholic; the Mass is the height of my week.

His Day

I arise around 5:30, eat, dress, etc. I go to work around 7:30. I am usually the first to arrive, unlock the facility, make coffee, and enjoy some moments of peace before others arrive.

A normal day consists of using my 50 plus years of experience to answer internal and external questions, provide quotes and offer advice to customers, take orders and work with the shop to ensure that product goes out on time.

Additionally, I train customers and internal personnel on the product I sell, occasionally traveling to branch locations to train and to observe their operation.

Part of my training duties is traveling with the outside sales force making customer calls.  I do spend some time giving advice to upper management that are not familiar with this product line.  My experience is the key to doing my job well.

I get home around 5:15 unless I go to Mass. I have a drink, rest, or whatever happens to enter my mind that I should do. I go to bed around 9:30.

Personal

Long term plans? Maybe retire, maybe not.

What are the biggest struggles in your life? Dealing with some health issues.

What are some things you worry about? I try to limit my worries and trust in God. I sometimes have problems with that word Trust.

What do you enjoy doing? I enjoy a monastery in the mountains, with a forest and a river, however I seldom go. I enjoy my beautiful Catholic faith.

Thanks Dale, in reality, all of us siblings are successful, some more so than others. We were all taught to work hard. Learning how to not work hard is the difficult part. Take care.
